Las Piñas College held its General Orientation for College Students (First Semester, School Year 2008-2009) last June 13, 2008, Friday at the Multi-purpose Hall.

Officiated by Mrs. Evella Arias,College Registrar and Ms. Elsie Taruc of BS Nursing , the program started at 3pm. Dean Melinda Anyayahan of the  Nursing department, Dean Troadio Carolino  of BAHRMSEC department, faculty members of the college department, old and new students became part of the orientation.

The program started with the invocation by Mr. Ruferd Mike Landrito (BSN) followed by the singing of the Philippine national anthem. Mrs. Evella Arias delivered the welcome remarks and introduction of admin/department heads and faculty members.

A presentation on the history of LPC and its developments up to the present times was delivered by Ms. Khristine Abug (BSN) followed by the mission statement, philosophy, goal and objectives presentation by Mr. Lyndon Kenneth Eugenio (BSN). Courses Offered and admission policies were discussed by Ms. Hannah Marie Faith Ubias (BSA) followed by Ms. Marrianne Sinagub (BSN) who on the other hand discussed the policies on examination. The LPC campus organizations, school services and facilities presentation was delivered by Mr. Lester Geronimo (BSA) followed by Ms. Elsie Taruc who discussed the calendar of activities for first semester SY 2008-2009.  Dean Troadio Carolino delivered the closing remarks

Ms. Anna Loraine Balita of the LPCian also encouraged aspiring writers and artists for the school paper. To avoid boredom, Mrs. Arias asked questions about the topics discussed in the orientation and tokens and gifts were given to those who answered correctly. The program ended at exactly 4pm.
