The Rotaract Club of LPC became a part of the 9th District Youth Olympics last Feb 24 at the Rizal Memorial Track and Field Oval. Close to 100 Rotarians gathered in the event that marked the last activity of District 3830 in commemoration of Rotary’s 103th founding anniversary.
Kick starting it was a parade of athletes in front of the grandstand followed by the lighting of torch by Gov. Ato Magadia which officially started the games. The series included the 50 meter and 100 meter dash for the females, the 200 meter male dash, and the long jump. Also included were non-olympic games such as the mixed sack race and sack race relay, the 3-legged race and the tug of war which capped the series of activities.
